Language Placement Program for International Students
Congratulations on becoming a member of Tulane University! As an international student, you must participate in the online placement program “American Academic English” offered each May. The online program can be completed from home and requires approximately two hours to complete the required online tasks. The program is designed to help select which writing, public speaking, and English classes will give you the best chance of success at Tulane. As many of you will not be arriving to Tulane later, this online course is a great way to meet and build connections with your future classmates.
Log in to the Canvas course when it becomes available: Here is a video on how to sign in to the course. The course is on Canvas, sign in at https://tulane.edu/mytulane using your Tulane email and password to sign on. You might need to accept an invitation to see the course. You will likely receive a course invitation via email. Please choose “accept” on the welcome page when you log in to Canvas. Right now, the courses are relatively blank.
