International Peer Advisors

Hi everyone! My name is Iselle Farias. I’m studying sustainable urbanism with a minor in Portuguese at Tulane. I became an International Peer Advisor because I understand how important a supportive community can be when adjusting to a new environment. I’m passionate about helping new students navigate life at Tulane and settle into New Orleans. Outside of academics, I enjoy painting, reading, exploring the city and trying new food. I’m excited to meet international students from different backgrounds, help them find their place in the Tulane community and make their transition to campus a little easier.

Hi! My name is Queeny Bui and I’m from Vietnam. I speak 2.5 languages, including French, and I love traveling and learning about different cultures. New Orleans is one of my favorite places I’ve visited because of its unique food, culture, music and festive traditions. Being in such a diverse city has made my experience at Tulane even more exciting. As an International Peer Advisor, I’m looking forward to meeting students from around the world, sharing experiences and helping international students adjust to life at Tulane and make the most of their time in New Orleans.

Hi everyone! I’m Tomas, a sophomore from Bogotá, Colombia, majoring in finance and economics. I spent most of my life in Colombia before, at the age of 17, I moved to Armenia to attend a UWC boarding school. At Tulane, I’m involved with AKPsi, Wall Street Krewe, the Global Ambassador Program, the Freeman Career Management Center and ALPFA. I’m also currently interning with Morgan Stanley’s wealth management team in New Orleans. Outside of academics and work, I enjoy playing tennis and table tennis, and I’ve recently started playing racquetball. I’m excited to meet and support international students this year!

Hi! My name is Lise Coetzee, and I’m an international student from South Africa. At Tulane, I’m a proud member of the swim and dive team, and outside the pool, I’m passionate about music, especially singing and songwriting. As someone who has experienced both the excitement and challenges of moving abroad for college, I understand how important it is to find a supportive community in a new place. I’m excited to serve as an International Peer Advisor and help international students navigate Tulane, explore New Orleans, meet new people and feel more at home in their new community.
