Pre-Departure Orientation Conference

Congratulations on your acceptance to study abroad during the upcoming semester! We at the NTC Office of Study Abroad and Freeman Abroad Office are excited to send you off on your global adventures. Attendance at the conference is mandatory for all students approved to study abroad through the Freeman Abroad Office and the Newcomb-Tulane College Office of Study Abroad.

Biography

Megan Ritterbusch earned her M.Ed. from the University of Missouri with an emphasis in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has more than seven years of experience teaching English as a second and foreign language in the U.S. and in Taiwan. In addition to teaching ESL language skills courses, she has developed curriculum for university-level intensive English program courses and community-based adult ESL programs. Her research and teaching interests include content-based instruction, second language acquisition theory and pedagogy, curriculum development, intercultural communication, and international and comparative education.

Stacy Mandel Palagye & Keith Palagye Program in Middle East Peace Fall Information Session

Please join us via zoom to learn about Stacy  Mandel Palgye &Keith Palagye program in Middle East Peace. A five-week summer program (May 16 – June 18) giving fifteen Tulane students an immersion in the dynamics of the Arab-Israeli conflict through classroom study and hands-on experience in Jerusalem. The program begins on Tulane’s campus with three short courses on conflict resolution, modern Middle East history, and cultural representations of Israeli-Palestinian relations. Students will develop individual research projects during their time abroad.
